After Death, Life Begins: What Galatians 2:20 Means and Why It Is Our Name

People ask about the name. After Death Industries sounds heavy, and it is meant to. It comes from one verse.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
    Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

    Dying to self

Paul is not describing a physical death. He is describing what happens when someone gives up running their own life and hands it over to Christ. The old way of living, driven by pride, fear and the need to be liked, is put to death. What comes after is a different kind of life.

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
    Colossians 3:3 (KJV)

Notice that the death is not the end of the sentence. The life is hidden with Christ, which means it is safe even when the old self is gone.

    Life begins after

That is why our tagline is “After Death, Life Begins.” We are not talking about the end of life. We are talking about the start of one lived without compromise, rooted in the One who loved us and gave himself for us.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
    Romans 6:4 (KJV)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
    2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

Walking in newness of life is the whole idea. It is not a one-time feeling; it is a daily choice to live from the new life and not the old one.

What it looks like day to day

Dying to self sounds dramatic, but it is usually quiet. It is choosing to forgive instead of keeping score. It is telling the truth when a lie would be easier. It is putting someone else first when no one is watching. Jesus put it plainly:

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
    Luke 9:23 (KJV)

The word “daily” matters. It is not a single moment; it is a habit.

How that shapes what we make

Every design we print is meant to carry a conviction, not a trend. We want what you wear to say what you believe, plainly, without a lot of noise. Our Skullgotha tee and our Victory Over Death hats come straight from this verse. If a shirt or hoodie sparks one honest conversation about Jesus, it did its job.

    One practical step

Read Galatians 2:20 slowly out loud this week. Ask yourself where you are still holding onto control, and what it would look like to let that go today.
